INDIGNA Arte&Diseño is an independent project created in order to encourage society to appreciate and recognize the quality and worth of its own culture. Our name being an ironic statement of who we are, INDIGNA's goal is to create an independent space for the dissemination of the work of talented young designers and artists, where they can exhibit their work and bring local culture to society.
Our proposal is:
• By integrating diverse forms of artistic expression, to create a center for the dissemination and creation of cultural tendencies.
• To encourage the consumption of art and design by bringing together the various participants in the production chain, in order to boost the opportunities this sector has to offer.
COSTUMES WE USE ARE THE MARKS THAT CULTURE LEAVES ON OUR BODIES
Culture includes every act that alllows us to relate, identify and communicate with others. It's what gives us an identity.
We base our work not only on our personal preferences, but are also inspired by a consumer society, which led us to decide to put a strong emphasis on the value of fashion design as an artistic discipline, as a tool to create a message, and as a producer of culture.
Aiming to promote these principles INDIGNA organizes "SIIP Mendoza" every year. SIIP means "Seminario de Indumentaria Independiente de la Provincia" (Seminar for Independent Fashion Production in the Province [of Mendoza]). We seek to expand our horizons and to enrich the local indie fashion design panorama from a more academic perspective
We also promote "CULJANTIN El panóptico del buen vestir". It's another one of our projects: a particular way to observe trends and tendencies that coexist in the city of Mendoza shown through a particular collection of photographs.
...And since we love expressing our view and creating debate, arousing interest, asking, answering, thinking over and making others think over about these subjects; we have our own "camerino" to reflect (our own dressing room for the mind) : "CAMARÍN BOMBAY" is the weekly radio column INDIGNA presents every Wednesday at "El último disco virgen" (our most popular radio program in the city), broadcast by Rock&Pop Net - Mendoza.

INDIGNA was born from these ideas trying to find an answer to the problems we identified in our comunity.
We have the conviction that Mendoza has lots of young creative and extremely talented people who produce their own and original works of art but lack the necessary resources to show their art to the world. And that is why we bring together all of these artists and invite people to meet them in our big shows!
FERIA INDIGNA
FERIA INDIGNA is a huge talent showcase...
It's a gathering of different design expressions, photography, arts, bands, dj's, vj's, dance shows and every manner of artistic expression (known or not). People slowly open their eyes and minds to the artistic expressions created by the groups that join our project every time. Some local wineries and bars invite visitors to taste their red and fresh mendocinian wines starting the day on a high note. The works exhibited chosen from the greatest young local artists and the installations and happenings transforming the space start exciting assistants...
Finally, our indignos designers present their collections on the atypical Indigna's runway: hundreds of dancers, musicians and models explode on stage with a parade of creativity and joy to put the icing on the cake to this odd singular show!
